It took me a while before I could decide on a theme for our ceremony and reception party. I wasn’t sure if I wanted a beach wedding, a garden wedding or a country western wedding. Then I thought maybe I should just stick with the traditional type of ceremony and reception. Destination weddings also sounds like a great idea. How great would it be to have a ceremony and reception in Las Vegas, or maybe take it all the way to Hawaii? The islands of Hawaii would definitely be my first choice. I soon put that idea to rest, there are too many people on our guestlist for a wedding like that.
There were other ideas too, like a gorgeous winter theme ceremony. But since we were getting married in July, that just didn’t seem appropriate. I wanted a wedding fit for a king and queen, and what better way to do that then with a storybook wedding. There were so many accessories and reception supplies to help with my fantasty wedding. There were even special wedding cakes you could buy that fit in perfectly with the theme. So I finally made up my mind. I wanted a fairy tale wedding and reception.
I went online and found fairy tale invitations that I could send out. There were also plenty of accessories and supplies to pick out for my storybook wedding. I picked out floor length dresses for the girls in my wedding party, and found an exquisite gown for myself. My handsome fiance and all of his wedding party looked so elegant in their tuxes, even the little ring boy looked like royalty. As I made my way down the aisle to my handsome prince Charming I felt like I was living a dream. Our wedding ceremony was more beautiful than I could have hoped for. The accessories I bought added so much glamour and style to our storybook wedding. As we were leaving the church, everyone tossed rose petals and cheered us on. Instead of a limo, we had a horse drawn carriage waiting outside.
Our reception was a total success, with all the storybook accessories, it looked like the inside of a castle. I found everything to fit the ocassion from decorations to wedding favors. I even found the perfect favor boxes to put each themed wedding gift in for our guests. I can’t believe all the accessories I was able to get for my fairy tale reception. I decided on little coaches for place card holders and the gorgeous place card holders that looked just like Cinderella coach. They just have everything I could possibly need for the perfect fairy tale wedding and reception.
Some of our guests commented on the themed décor and told us what a great time they were having. One of our guests stated that she’d never seen such a gorgeous ceremony as ours. I have to admit, it was quite special. A fairy tale wedding was a great idea, and it really helped to be able to have such fantastic accessories to choose from. I wanted this to be special for our friends and family too, the way it was for us. I made sure their favors for wedding were of a storybook theme, just like our wedding cake and other accessories. I felt that a momento of this special day would mean more than any other gift I could give them. A special something to remind them of sharing this very special ceremony with us.
After the honeymoon was over, there was the job of filling out thank you notes for all of our guests. There was even thank you notes available in storybook theme. I wonder if we could do this again for our anniversary?
