I went to a wedding last week where they had mikasa crystal accessories on all of the reception tables. On every table were lovely mikasa wedding favors and mikasa crystal glasses. The bride decorated her whole wedding and all the reception tables with such excellent taste. With all the mikasa accessories she had on the tables, it was a picture of elegance.
They had little silver doves as the place card holders, and on the end of their tails were little place cards with a bride and groom printed on them. The elegance of her reception tables were enhanced by the lovely centerpieces she had chosen. For her centerpieces she had lovely pillar candles with a floral garnish surrounding them. Five layers of chocolate heaven with chocolate flavored cream cheese on each and every layer was the choice of wedding cakes they had. As the cake topper she had a really unique idea. She shopped online for almost all of her wedding accessories and reception supplies and found out they customized cake toppers for weddings. They make figurines that look just like the bride and groom for the topper and all it takes is sending them a couple head shots of the happy couple. They did a fantastic job capturing the faces of the bride and groom. My mom and dad are having a renewal ceremony for their anniversary, and I’d like to find out where she ordered that cake topper from so I could get one made for their reception party.
The garter toss was really a riot, I laughed so hard. Seeing all those men as their excitement grew when the garter was being removed by the groom. All of them were reaching and pushing into each other with the sole objective of being the one to take home the brides garter. What was really funny was that the winner of the garter toss was talked into participating by the other guys and he was a widower in his 70’s. There was a big smile on the old mans face as he walked off with the garter in his hand.
For the bridal toast we all had crystal champagne flutes, that we were also given to take home, with the names of the bride and groom, and date of the wedding printed on them. After the best man said his speech and we toasted the bride and groom, it was time for their first dance together as man and wife. They looked so fantastic up there dancing together. The floor quickly filled up with couples right after the wedding couple finished their first dance. My poor feet suffered the consequences of my all night dancing.
Finally it was time for the bride and groom to depart for their honeymoon, and we all said our good byes. Hawaii was the honeymoon destination, from what I was told by one of the guests. I’m sure their honeymoon will be just as wonderful as their wedding day was. The rest of us partied until we couldn’t party no more.
I received my thank you note for my gift and my presence at the wedding and reception, after only two weeks. She must have sent out her thank you cards as soon as she got back from her honeymoon. She did let me in on her secret online wedding shopping site, where she supplied the mikasa crystal wedding and ordered that customized cake topper from. In fact, I’m getting ready to place my order right now for my mom and dad’s anniversary wedding.
