There is a lot to planning a wedding and reception, but the one thing that seems to take the longest to decide, is what to get your guests as thank you gifts. You can go with lovely crystal favors, ceramic wedding favors, and even a more practical gift like household items. Whichever you plan on using for thank you gifts, you’ll see that there is a variety of styles for each category.
I’ve even found ceramic favors for my country themed wedding ceremony and reception party. You can use just about any favor made of ceramic for almost any themed wedding you are planning. Like the little tea caddys that I ran across online with nice black ceramic wedding trays to place them on. There are plenty of suggestions from candle holders to gorgeous tea lights and even flower vases as ceramic wedding gifts. Since I consider shopping for the wedding favors as the most difficult part of the planning, plus trying to decide from such a wide variety, I decided that it was the last thing I put on my list of things to do.
So, my tables were first on my list to be accessorized. Since this was a country western motif, all my tables were picnic tables with checked tablecloths and a little metal bucket full of daisies was the centerpieces. I bought adorable little barbecue grills as place card holders, which I let all the guests keep after the reception. No catering service for us, we were having a cookout for our reception and the little barbecue grill place card holders were perfect for the tables. We had cowboy shaped glasses to drink from and little tiny cowboy hats at each guests place setting to add to the western motif. As ceramic wedding favors, I chose the pretty ceramic honey pots with heart shaped handles instead of the tea caddies for our friends and family. They were so adorable and they fit right in with the country motif of our reception. Although, I almost went with black ceramic wedding candle holders, which were really awesome. Our tables looked fantastic and with all the surrounding décor accessories, it looked like the perfect down home celebration.
With the haystacks we set up and the white lights twinkled in the trees, it was the epitome of a country wedding. A cowgirl with her rope tied to her grooms rope to have him hauled off to the preacher was the wedding cake topper we chose. Everyone seemed to get a lot of laughs out of our cake topper and we thought it was quite amusing too. In fact there were lots of laughs through the whole reception, with all the dancing and partying that was going on, we were all having a fantastic time. The kids really had a great time on the hayride we had all fixed up for everyone, and that had to be one of the best times ever.
All of the people that were in our wedding ceremony got little gifts from us, like our bridesmaids and groomsmen. All the bridesmaids got the finest little ceramic party favors, and the guys got these awesome cowboy steins as wedding thank you gifts. We bought a flower girl tee shirt and a ring bearer tee shirt for the adorable kids in the wedding. Our friends and family and everyone in our wedding party seemed to be very impressed with our choice of wedding favor gifts for each of them.
I also bought a few extras for myself, like a sharp little western themed guestbook and pen, picture album and I even ordered a cowboy hat for me and my husband that said bride and groom on them. All in all, this country western themed wedding was really more than I had hoped for, it was spectacular and we all had such a great time.
