This was my first marriage and I wanted to plan the perfect wedding shower. I knew I needed help, so I asked my sister if she wanted to help me. My sister agreed to help me and was excited about it. I know there is a lot of work to be done when planning a shower and I was eager to get started. I always was good at planning showers, so I knew I could make this wedding shower a success. I didn’t have a lot of time and I knew I better get started with the planning.
My sister and I looked for a hall big enough to fit all of my guests. We came across one that was real close to where I live. We went on the computer to look for decorations and gifts. There were a lot of themed wedding ideas that were gorgeous. I bought all my decorations and gifts for the shower. Our next step was to find shower favors. There was a big variety to choose from. This took some time to decide when looking at all the wonderful shower favors. I saw this cotton handkerchief and knew right away that this is what I am going to give my guests. I also thought that I could get one for me on my wedding day. I found a silk handkerchief that was so gorgeous. I was positive that my family and friends would like the ladies handkerchiefs. I decided to go with a ladies handkerchiefs as a wedding favor for all my guests.
All my plans we going well. We had the hall and ordered all the decorations, gifts and wedding favors. I needed to figure out what kind of food I was going to have at my shower. I thought about catering it in, but that was expensive. While looking through my recipes, I came across some of the best dishes, that I know me and my sister could prepare. We placed the order for the cake at a bakery near us. All the planning was finished. I found these awesome invitations and mailed them out to family and friends. All we had to do was wait until the day of the shower.
The day finally arrived and we went to hall to set up the shower. It did not take long to decorate the hall. As soon as we finished, we were amazed how great the room looked. I made sure that I took a picture to remember how great it looked. The cake was on the table with the food and each table had a center piece. All the tables had a cotton handkerchief at each setting. If you saw the room, you would say the room looked so elegant.
We all had an excellent time with my family and friends. My guests enjoyed each other’s company. We enjoyed the games and feasted on some good food. I could hear my guests say how much they loved the handkerchief. I couldn’t believe how many gifts I got from all my guests. It made me sad when the shower was ending, because I really enjoyed myself and my guests did to.
When it was time for my guests to leave, they commented how much of a good time they had and were happy to get the handkerchief. I was so happy that I picked the handkerchief for my wedding favors. My shower was a success and will be in my memory always. I also am grateful that I had my sister to help me plan my wedding shower. It made me feel good that she was by my side through this. That is the reason she is my maid of honor.
